Guest Rick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I have a W3K server with two virtual drives , 1 a 36 gig raid 1 and the second a 146 raid 5. I want to configure the raid 1 into a 12 GB and 24Gb partition. can I do this in Windows or do I need third party software? Rick

If you're using hardware RAID, Windows doesn't know anything about the RAID at all. But even with software RAID, partitions are something you create in your OS.
