Hello Theo. If you don't mind, could you please elaborate on your problem and put it in a more organized way. I am having trouble struggling to string the sentences together to get an exact idea of your problem. Also, please post the specifications of your computer so that we can identify whether the games are supposed to run smoothly or not.

Thank you. :)

Your GPU is not up to scratch to play modern games and yes WOW isnt exactly modern, you need to invest in a better GPU - try turning the settings in the game lower than they are at present and turn off AA and AF

its listed as display adapter.

you may also have to drop the resolution too - not ideal, but that GPU isnt capable of those games

I would also suggest more RAM.

Hello Theo. The hardware experts should have the answer to that when they come online. Meanwhile, all we can do is wait patiently.

Please check sometime later to see if the experts have suggested anything for you. :)

Hi Theo,

That graphics card (geforce 8400) needs a PCI express slot.

Your motherboard is an older model which has an AGP slot, and no PCI express. You will need to get an AGP graphics card if you want to upgrade your existing computer.

You said WoW and runescape worked OK before?

i recently have discovered problems with some of my games

If so then the problem may not be with your hardware.

Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version:

NVIDIA DRIVERS 175.19 WHQL

and also update direct X:

Download DirectX 9.0c (full package) - the latest version of Direct X

If the problem persists then you could look at upgrades.

Do you know how to update the graphics drivers?

Go to control panel and then add/remove programs there will be one called Nvidia display driver uninstall that and then the PC will ask you to reboot, do that and when you log in again install the latest driver from snows link and see if that improves
