Hi there,

I have exactly this problem but my mail is affected more for sending mail than receiving.

I have a paid Yahoo Plus account as I created the email address years ago when I lived in the States but for some reason, I am pointed to the .co.uk pop and smtp servers.

I have been in Spain and Morocco on different ISPs and returned to the UK 4 weeks ago using a friend's Talk Talk broadband account. I began using WLM about 3 months ago.

I have never had a problem until the last 2 weeks when I noticed that I wasn't sending mail, then not receiving. WLM would continuously ask me for my username and password and then would just not send mail or anything.

After trying to find a solution to the problem via google, I removed the Yahoo account completely from WLM and then re-created it. It worked fine for a couple of days and now, once again, it is just not sending mail at all, giving me the same message above.

I have to believe that this is a problem with WLM, but not sure. It is so frustrating as I don't always realise that my email hasn't been sent.

Grateful for any advice here, I like WLM in that it manages my hotmail, gmail, and yahoo accounts but this is driving me crazy!

Thank You so much!!!

I read the post you linked to and read the POP mail settings from Talk Talk and then simply changed the smtp server to smtp.talktalk.net in my mail settings (no authentication whatsoever) and Voila! The 2 Emails waiting to be sent for 2 days sent immediately.

Hopefully this is it now - it certainly makes sense to me so fingers crossed!

Thanks again!
