Re: Grayed Out Logon Prompt

I have seen something similar. It appears to be an issue with Windows

Explorer when it happens to me. I suggest you run the system file checker

to repair any damaged windows files. In Run type Command and hit Enter. At

the prompt type

sfc /scannow

Enter

Provide the XP cd if requested (probably)

Re: Grayed Out Logon Prompt

I have a correction on this. It seems that most users that are experiencing

this issue are pointing to VNC software. Do you have any VNC software

installed maybe you should look at upgrading or just removing it.
