Read this, and I think more should be done, to track these Criminals, and prosecute them.

My thoughts on this.

Malware Authors are making big Bucks, inflicting as much damage as possible, to our Computers.

Security Companies are happy, because we are the suckers, who have to spend more money all the time, to combat all the new and more sophisticated Viruses.

NO Malware, equals NO Security Software Programs,so there has to be a lot of money changing hands,to keep everyone in business.

We are the losers.

Your thoughts.:)

Strange as it may sound but the very first form of Malware and infections were merely meant as a joke for other gullible users. They damaged the computer in no way and merely popped a screen informing that you were infected providing you with the close option. I am utterly amazed at how fast this breed developed and delved into the purpose of making money.

We can protest by using free programs. I know Rich wouldn't agree with this but I think that these programs perform as well as paid programs mainly because they are designed to help users rather than to be sold commercially like hot cakes.

That is a dream. You and I can stay free of Malware and stop it in its tracks but there are 15 million other monkeys out there who will use pirated programs and cracks no matter how many times they get burned. And Malware writers will always exploit this need to spread their work.

Now that the criminal element has latched onto the fact that money can be made from malware, I am afraid Goku is right.

The problems facing the law enforcement agencies regarding catching these people is there are so many of them, and a lot are operating from countries that are secure to them. The countries in question have little or no law enforcement of their own, more than likely no extradition deals with the rest of the world, and possibly in rare cases actually encourage that sort of criminality.

All we can do is operate as safely and securely as possible, and remember they are out there to get you. Fend them off with the defences available, free or otherwise.
