Hi,

If you've seen this enquiry on other boards please excuse me but I'm not getting much joy.

I have a 42" Plasma telly and an FS AMILO Pro V3205 Notebook. I want to connect them so I can view DVDs and online video on the telly. Obviously, I need to buy cables but I'm not sure which is most appropriate, S-Video or DVI. Both the telly and the notebook possess both types of port.

As a non-tech non-gamer I have no idea what the benefits or otherwise of the two connections may be. I just want to watch music video on the big screen or play music from Media Player with the excellent G Force Visualisation on screen.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Core

all you will need to do.is get a dvi to dvi lead.

plug it into the laptop.then the tv....put the tv on dvi...then usually the keys are fn and f5 i believe (denoted by a monitor in the f keys).this will then show the laptop screen on the tv....you may have to do f5 up to 3 times because there is different features.

that should work....dvi i would use over s-video.
