He is according to Mary Jo Foley. And it seems to be coming on the back of a fairly serious marketing reorganisation at Microsoft.

 

Meanwhile, Apple show how it's done; taking down their whole website to launch what will probably be a fairly minor product update.

 

You've got to hand it to 'em. If anyone else did this, then developers would be offering to fix their site so that new products could be added without rebooting the servers ... :)
