Hi, I am having some issues with my home pc. The DVD drive has stopped working, when i go into the device manager it is telling me that i have an error code 39 "drivers are corrupt or missing" however i have tried updating and it tells me i have the best. I thought i would be able to get around this by buying a USB DVD external drive, however that isnt working either, it has the same error. Can any one give me a clue?

Hi Steve and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

If you can tell us the exact make and model of your computer, or if home built the motherboard make, type, and number along with the CD/DVD drive make and model, we may be able to find a source of drivers to download for it.
