Hello everyone.

I have a very unusal problem.

My question relates to the S/PDIF cable that came with the graphics card Geforce 9400GT 1GB (GV-N94TOC-1GI). It says to connect the red wire to the S/PDIF out pin and the black to the Ground pin.

I have the Gigabyte GAM61PME-S2P motherboard.

The diagram shows 5 pins.

1=power, 2=no pin, 3=SPDIF, 4=SPDIFI, 5=GND, 6=GND.

Question: Which pins on the motherboard do I connect the red and black wires?

Jelly Bean if you read this post any ideas??

:confused:

SPDIF is an optical cable for sound - not that many speakers support it, it's more commonly used on home cinema systems and Xbox 360 and PS3s

Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)

Asus P5K premium black pearl

4GB OCZ Reaper 8500

260GTX

Jelly Bean: I have the manual but the labels are not clear to me.

It says that pin 1 red wire of the spdif out cable must align with pin 1 of spdif_io of the header.

which pin (3 or 4) is the spdif_io?

Dalo Harkin: I will be connecting the pc to the hdmi screen and possibly my av receiver hence why i want to install it now. Thanks
