A recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that mostadults believe that a Microsoft-Yahoo takeover would be good for theeconomy. Sixty-percent (60%) share this view, while only 6% disagreeand 33% are not sure.

 

Both companies are viewed favorably by the public. Microsoft is viewedfavorably by 63% of the population, while Yahoo is viewed favorably by65%. In January 2007, 58% had a favorable opinion of Microsoft.
