Guest mukeshhtrivedi@gmail.com Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Hi We have Windows XP workstations on network and connecting to Windows 2003 Standard server. today I created a Group Policy on Server to disable Control Panel and to disable Run button and created one TEST OU and moved our non used workstation to check wether it works or not and it worked, after that I removed the Group Policies and moved back particular that workstation back to computers OU and removed TEST OU, still Control Panel is disabled on workstations and servers. Can you please guide me how can I get back Control Panel on all workstations and servers. Thanks,

You had these workstations in an OU where the Group Policy on Control Panel was Configured, and the Setting was Disabled. You have probably moved them back into an OU where this policy is Unconfigured - it will neither enable nor disable Control Panel, just leave it alone. So put them back in the TEST OU, Configure a group policy to enable Control Panel, and after your Group Policy enforcement interval Control Panel will be working again. -- Regards, Newell White
