Hi

We have a windows 2003 cluster running

we have many file shares which are working fine but on one share we have exe

apps which we are trying to run from the share and it is telling us we do not

have permission!

the ntfs and share permissions are set to authenticated users full control

i have tried so many things.... and i cant figure it out....

Can someone throw some ideas my way please!

Thanks

John

Re: Very Strange Permissions issue

I have seen this happen but only with Win2003 R2 - I can't run EXE files

across the network from a share when trying to install something from server

to server. I figured it was some sort of Security feature. I've never figured

out how to fix that. I always end up copying the EXE file to the server

I'm installing it to, then I have to Right-click on the EXE, go to Properties,

and then "Unblock" the exe so I can install it. Have you tried that to see

if that would work as a test?
