Guest Saral6978 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I successfully set up a new Master server and now have my replicas sync'ing successfully after I ran through the export/import process of transferring the WSUS content from my original Master to my new one. However, there is one slight issue. When I log into the new Master/Upstream server, it basically says all updates need to be approved for installations, rather than where I had left off before the switch. Even if I do a sort for the last 2 months, it still brings up all the updates (going back years), which are like 1100+ updates. Is there any way to import the approval information from my original master server to the new one so it knows that I have installed these past updates, or is there another way to fix or clean up the database? Or is it a matter of declining all the updates that I have previously installed? Or do I need to approve them all again to see if they need to be installed? It's just a lot of updates to go through and I'm not sure the best way to go about this... Any suggestions? Thank you so much! Sara
Guest Saral6978 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 RE: WSUS Question after transferring to new server (Master or Upstream I want to add that I'm using WSUS 2.0, sp1. Would WSUS 3.0 be able to fix my problems and is it easy to migrate my master server and my 2 replicas? Looks like there are some database cleanup utilities with 3.0...for now though, if people DO know how to fix this in 2.0, I'd appreciate it! :)
