Service Server cannot renew share

Recommended Posts

After removing a directory from a NT4 server the eventviewer system shows the

following message; " service Server cannot renew share because the directory

doesn't exist anymore".

This is true, but how can i make sure that this doesn't occur every time the

server is restarted.

Greetings,

Re: Service Server cannot renew share

Dave, I think the problem is already solved. After checking the registry

there was still a key in

HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\Lanmanserver\Shares that pointed to the

share that was already deleted.

After removing the key the error no longer occured.

Thank you for your respons. Greetings,
