ylind Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Hi I bought a Flat screen ViewSonic VP930b (refurbished) it is very slow to come to life, its on but must be coaxed (push a few keys and then wait) from a black screen to readable. This happens when I first turn on and after sitting Idle for a while. Appreciate the help y.L Quote Kind Regardsy.L
snow Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Hi y.L, This sounds like a side-effect of age. If you got the monitor second-hand, then its electronics have probably seen allot of use by now. I don't know if there's much you can do about it. Others may have some suggestions, but I think it's just the screen showing the use it's probably had. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Jelly Bean Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I tend to agree with snow. Other than an update of your graphics card driver and setting the controls via the monitor controls and windows display properties you may of bought a monitor that could be on its way out. Plastic Nev Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Hi, you say it is a refurbished screen, it should still have a warranty period. How long have you had this screen and if still in warranty, take or send it back, it sounds like the back light is on the way out. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems?
