Win98SE currently runs USB can I add PCI card for usb 2 and use it at

the same time (move usb2 devices to that interface). Strange question

is Can two pc be interconnected via USB ports and maybe even have a hard

drive on the same usb. Just wondering.

Yes. There are special USB cables to connect 2 computers. However, I

wouldn't use it. When you really want to do so, using 2 USB network

adaptors in combination with a crosscable is more flexible.

No.

Correct.

The two machines should be networked.

If an external USB drive is connected to one machine...

it can be shared on a network by the other machine

No problem...

Win9x and XP/Win2k can all "talk" to each other

The best thing to do is have all machines in the same workgroup

and to allow file sharing

I'm doing it right now. My USB 1.1 is built into the MOBO so I cant

get rid of it. I installed a USB 2 card. Both of them work. I use

the USB 1.1 for my camera card reader, which works plenty fast just to

download the pictures to my harddrive. I use the USB 2 for external

harddrives, ext. CD drives, and memory sticks. Those need the faster

USB. I also have a small USB LED light for seeing behind the

computer. USB 1.1 is fine for that, it only uses power from the PS.
