snow Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Hi jerjude, Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help First, check the basics: Is the monitor plugged in and connected correctly, both to the computer and to the power socket? Does it work fine on another computer? Has the computer you are connecting it too ever shown a picture? We need a bit more information, like the make/model of the monitor and your computer, to help further. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Jelly Bean Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I will add to that snow. If you look very close to the screen do you see any picture? Just by chance if you restarted and repeatedly tap F8 do you get a choices menu?I know you see nothing on the screen but this sometimes works. Check all cable connections. Try a diffrent cable. Is the monitor light on?If yes what colour? Do you know if the computers graphics card is onboard or a PCI card? Have you tried connecting the monitor to another computer or even the laptop? Connect the monitor to the laptop while monitor and laptop are turned off. Then turn them both on. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................

Jelly Bean Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Did you check internaly wether the card was a onboard graphics card or a PCI slot one? Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
Jelly Bean Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I think it is time to buy a new PCI graphics card. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
