Ginny Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I have an HP desktop running Windows Vista. for the last few months, I have found that my wallpaper will not stick to the screen. When I am online, the last site I look at will replace my wallpaper untill I push the show desktop button on my toolbar. Does anyone know how to fix this annoying problem? Thank you in advance, Ginny Quote
snow Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Hi Ginny, It sounds like your desktop isn't refreshing properly. Does this only happen when you use your web browser? Can you change your desktop background normally, or do you still need to hit 'show desktop' to make it change? What web browser do you use (IE, firefox, etc) ? Ginny Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 To anyone else who is having this problem, I contacted my HP support was told that IE 8 is incompatible with Windows Vista. Then I was instructed on how to delete IE8. Then IE 7 automatically reinstalls. If you would like the info, contact me. I saved the e-chat. Quote
