Starting again failure

I decided it was time to start over with my pc but hit a wall. I wanted to format everything, re-install windows.

 

So I booted from the windows disk and only got so far before the BSOD came up.

 

Now when I boot up it gives me the option of starting in windows or windows setup.

 

Choosing setup just takes me through and I get a BSOD every time.

 

 

How can I do this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

most blue screens of death BSOD point to hardware related issues, i find 9 - 10 time the ram is at fault....try another stick of ram,,,,and try different slots......

when exactly do you get the bsod,is it when it try to access the hard drive,some more info mwould be great.

It makes little sense but alot of the time you can get away with it by disconnecting and reconnecting all the components within your pc, and like Danzil says, it's worth swapping out memory also.

 

A quick refresh solves alot of problems in my experience.

 

When you get these 2 options, if you start windows, do you get BSOD or only when you go to re-install Windows?

you could set the bios not to reboot on errors...then when ypou get the bsod we will see the full error not just a flash of it.
