Enhanced Internet Security Configuration & Sophos

Hi All,

 

Just a puzzling problem that I have run into. Currently we are using Sophos

Enterprise Edition with On Access Scanning enabled. After a while, it seams

to be that Sophos will lock down the network shares and not allow any user

access to it. It seams to be that the on access scanner is scanning each

particular file requested by a client, and is somehow being crippled.

 

That being said, one of the proposed solutions that apparently worked was to

disable Enhanced Internet Security Configuration. I am not sure what

correlation there is between the two, but if anyone is kind enough to share

any insights, experiences or similar situations that they have run into, it

would be greatly appreciated.

 

We have been talking with Sophos and MS, and no one can seam to pinpoint the

issue.
