x2470 i just cant get it on to my pc keeps saying hardware problem and not installing software please help hair starting to go missing

Are you trying to install the software from CD?

 

If so, try downloading the latest software from a website.

 

If it's just a problem detecting hardware, how is it connected? Parrallel or USB?

 

If you're trying Parrallel and it's not detecting it, try via USB or vice versa if possible.

 

It's also sometimes worth not using the baloon tip that appears bottom right of your desktop, and using "Add Hardware" wizard via Control Panel.
