RAS and DHCP address's

Issue with my network:

I have windows 2003 server running as a virtual PC on my regular

windows XP box.

Its running as a development web server, but only for internal network

access (not yet available to the outside world).

Anyway the issue I am having, I was looking at out Win 2k3 domain

controller at the address leases shown under DHCP.

As soon as this virtual sevrer is booted it takes up 10 internal IP

Addresses on the network (all with a unique ID of RAS).

My own PCrunning the virtual PC software has 2 RAS IP addresses (in

addition to its regular IP address).

Since we are starting to run short of free IP's on our current subnet

this isn't a good thing...

I have very limited knowledge on what a RAS connection is. When i say

very limited, i really mean none.

Why would it do this? These 2 PC's are the only ones on the network

with RAS IP's. I assume it is some 'feature' of the virtual PC

software?

Is this normal?

Any ideas?
