DNSRegisteredAdapters got deleted

We ran some 3rd party script on our computers and it deleted the

following Registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

\DNSRegisteredAdapters

Now our windows XP machine don't register with DNS anymore.

Is there a way to recreate this key on the affected computers?

How about using system restore to a time just before the script ran? Then

export the key before you run the script again so you can import it

afterwards.

Thanks. But system restore is not an option for us, as there are just

too many computers, and we really don't know when the script was

actually ran on the computers. :-(

Re: DNSRegisteredAdapters got deleted

Start, run, cmd

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

and restart the system; please give feedback here.

Re: DNSRegisteredAdapters got deleted

netsh interface reset all

Note that this is not the most effective repair.

For more effective results, try WinsockFix, which you can find on several

sites, including:
