here is some info:

 

Dell Inspiron 546

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 215 Processor

CPU Speed: 2.69 GHz Performance Rated at: 5.2455 GHz

RAM: 2.0 GB

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, 32-bit (Build Service Pack 16001)

Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3450

Power: 300watts

 

Slots:

PCI-E (currently holding the graphic card)

PCI (empty)

PCI (empty)

PCI (empty)

 

i would like to upgrade so that my computer can run games like crysis, half life, halo... etc (mainly first person) in a suitable frame rate. i was thinking about getting the Saphire ATI Radeon HD 4000 series but im not sure if itll run in my computer. any suggestions would be awesome?

Hi,

 

If you want to be able to install and run an AIT 4000 series card, you will need to upgrade your power supply to one that can provide at least 500 Watts.

 

If you want to run crysis at a decent frame rate, I think you might also need to upgrade your RAM to 4GB. The other games you mentioned should run OK on 2.
