blue screen and no way to get in through safe mode!

my comp has decided due to a virus I think to shut down, I am getting the blue screen asking me if this has happened before etc etc, I re started clicking the F8 button but I cannot even get in through safe mode. I have a virus checker on disc but do not know how to activate it as I cannot get into safe or any other kind of mode.

When the computer blue screens, are you recieving any error codes, looks like 0x0000???

can you note the code and post it back.

 

if the screen goes to quick and reboots, tap f8 at startup and choose "disable auto restart on system failure",

what cd do you have that has anti virus on it

I had to restart to do that, its just brought me back to the blue screen

Hi

have you installed any new hardware recently.

this is usally caused by a corrupt or mis installed driver, or a memory issue.,

try downloading memtest and run that to check your ram.

this can take a few hours to run so please be patient post back your result...

do you have your XP cd to hand.
