Hi,

I scheduled a backup by ntbackup tool on a Windows 2003 server. I found the

backup always fails if I log off the server. How can I make backup

successfully after I log off?

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks in advice!

Re: Backup issue

Hello Lisa,

You have to specify an account and a password and check that this account

has the security rights "logon as a batch job", "backup files and folders"

as a minimum.

Best regards

You need to examine the various log files:

- The event logger

- The Task Scheduler logger

- The ntbackup log file

"backup files and folders". Please advice.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Backup issue

Hello Lisa,

Check the local policy of the machine or if it is a domain controller the

default domain controllers policy. Go to Computer configuration, windows settings, security

settings,Local policies,User rights assignment, then the right pane.

Best regards
