Popups in Talktalk / AOL

Hi There,

I've suddenly started getting full screen popup ads appearing behind my browser windows. It happens using both Firefox and IE, and on both my home PCs, so the only common denominator is Talk Talk / AOL. I have popup blockers activated on both browsers (I Think)

 

Both PCs run Vista, home basic on laptop home premium in desktop. both have Norton Security.

 

Any Ideas? or is it just a part of the internet experience

their are two possibilities that I can think of

 

1 you have a malware problem (Adware)

 

2 the site you are looking at aren't considered to be 'Safe'

 

if you are getting this when you are using sites like this one, google, banking sites, shopping sites then I would say option 1

 

if you are getting this when just generally surfing and looking at pictures and video's shall we say then I would suggest option 2

 

if you want to be certain and make sure I suggest you start a thread in the malware forum ;)
