Display all script errors: on or off?

I have had this off for a while - mainly because i forgot to check it - so I turned it on ( as I do web work and should be aware of any errors) .. thing is - the web is almost unusable in ie7 with this notification turned on

 

do you - by default - keep "Display a notification for every script error" on or off?

 

with it on - im getting errors everywhere..

it also seems to be the same or close to same error

 

line 2 character (7 or 1)** invalid character
