Hi

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to help me

I have an Epson stylus fx 105 printer which i have had for a few months now

& have been buying compatible ink cartridges for it the funny thing is it was all working fine untill yesterday when the printer suddenly decided it did not like the compatible inks any more so now an error message comes up saying the printer does not recognize the ink cartridges & it refuses to print anything

some has told me i need to get a prog or something to sort it

does anyone know where i can get it & what is it called?????

many thanks

I will add that Epson are now well known for rejecting alternative so called compatible cartridges, they obviously want you to buy only their own cartridges at their prices, not cheaper from someone else.

I have a D88 that I use compatibles in. Apart from the YOU ARE USING NON EPSON INK blah blah WARRANTY blah blah; I've never had any problems, apart from clicking the continue box.

Well worth the hassle when you consider that a complete set of original ink is almost the same as the cost of a new ink jet!

It might be possible to disable the Epson Status Monitor from printer settings. An example of this is Disable the Epson Status Monitor. Yours might be similar.
