I have a new webcam, Logitech c250.

My Os is vista home premium

When the computer is put on any skype speach will be at very high speed, this is in a test or call situation.

After this all speach works fine untill the computer is turned off and on again.

I havd a microsoft webcam and this never gave me a problem.

Regards.

Hi Geoff, welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

I have moved your post to a new thread, asking for help at the end of an old thread may not be seen, so it is always best to start a new thread, you can always link to an old thread if there is something of relevance in it.

Now to your problem, If I understand this, the speech is at high speed at first, but then slows down?

This may be due to an incorrect installation of the new webcam. Did it come with any software on a disk?

if so, uninstall the software and remove the webcam. Then re install the software first, then plug in the webcam afterwards. Quite often the software may prompt you to plug the camera in. See if that helps.

Nev.
