Guest Warren Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Win98SE was a great improvement over Win98 in this regard, but I still have occasional hang-up problems. Any fixes out there ?
Guest glee Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Re: Occasional Problems with Logoff feature hanging on "black" screen Click Start>Run, type MSCONFIG and click OK. On the General tab, click the Advanced button. Click to put a check mark in the box for "Disable fast shutdown", and click OK. Click OK to close Msconfig, and restart the computer. If that does not help, or if the box was already checked or wasn't there, go here: Windows Shutdown Troubleshooter: http://aumha.org/win4/a/shutdown.htm -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Windows, A+ http://dts-l.net/ http://dts-l.net/goodpost.htm "Warren" <nospam@nospam.com> wrote in message news:Owap$mjcIHA.2268@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Win98SE was a great improvement over Win98 in this regard, but I still have > occasional hang-up problems.
