How do I delete the Recycled folder from a portable hard drive.

Hi

Win XP SP2

I've a USB portable hard disk. When deleting files/folders from the

drive they been automatically put into a 'Recycled' folder. When I

delete a folder from that one, they're just recreated with new names.

How can I get rid of the whole folder & prevent it being used in future?

Also, the drive has created a 'System Volume Information' folder. I

guess it's for restore. I didn't create it. Is it safe to remove.

Thanks for any help.

Click Start / Help, then look for help on Recycle Bin. There is a

section titled "To remove items permanently when you delete

them."

To disable System Restore for a particular drive, click Start / Help,

then look for help on System Restore. There is a section titled

"To turn off System Restore".

There is a lot of help in Help!
