Apologies in advance for the ignorant and desperate nature of this request....

I have done a lot of work on Microsoft Publisher. I intended to move this all to my PC using my USB. However, after moving all the files to the hard drive I realised/discovered that I don't actually have Publisher. Annoyed, I put the files back on the USB and returned to the laptop I'd carried out the work on. But now they won't open on there?!!!

They seem to have changed format (icons are now a small window with 6 little icons inside, and where it would normally describe the format it just says 'File'). When I try and open them with Publisher it says 'Publisher cannot find the file you specified. The Next dialog box will let you browse to locate the file on you hard disk or floppy disk.'

Is there any way I can get those files open so I can print them?

If not........actually, I don't want to think about it.....

Just to let the world know, I have now sorted my problem.

In case youre interested, I had renamed the files and removed the .pub bits. When I put them back on the files open again.

It's been a long day....
