memory upgrade problem

Recommended Posts

when I read the info from MS web site, the window 2003 std is able to handle

4Gb of RAM.

but after I add in total of 4GB memory into my Laptop (IBM Thinkpad T650p),

the window 2003 server can only read 3 gb of memory from the "about windows".

Why?

RE: memory upgrade problem

Hi Kam

First, make sure your Notebook hardware supports 4 GB RAM. Make sure you

see 4GB of RAM initialized during POST process.

Second, read the following

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283037

Regards
