Guest Christopher@REMOVEbundy.co.uk Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I have had some difficulty with the UPS service. I think this was caused by trying to load powerchute then removing it. To start with the UPS tab was not viewable however a few registry entries fixed it. Now the UPS service will not run because it cannot find the file Can some kind sole point me in the right direction Chris

That said, if you've got an APC SmartUPS, I strongly recommend you use PowerChute anyway.

I have an APC Smart-UPS 1250 with good batteries. what version of Powerchute should I use ? Ive made a data cable a la Microsoft that features a 10k resistor. I believe it's Business Edition 7.05 - try downloading it, install it, and if you still don't want to use it, then uninstall it to see if it fixes what got broken before... > > Ive made a data cable a la Microsoft that features a 10k resistor. I'm not familiar with that kind of stuff - I use the cables provided with the UPS. Check with APC to make sure it'll work. > Knowledge base 102711 > > Thanks for your help > > Chris
