windows ATTRIB

is there a way to store all of a file's metadata in a text file like you can

with DOS' ATTRIB function.

specifically music files.

attrib my.fil > my.txt with store the attributes like A R etc of my.fil into

my.yxy file.

this is what i am looking for.

there aught to be a way to do something like that on a directory of music

files that would store all of the metadata like title, artist, etc.

maybe if you used some third party music inventory software, but it

isn't going to happen in Attrib or any of the other command line

utilities that come with Windows.
