images missing on desk top icons

After sending my computer in for maintainance, the desktop icons for

MIcrosoft Word, Microsoft Money, and Microsoft Live Messenger appear as white

boxes with a blue strip across the top. The rest of the icons are unchanged.

I have tried TweakUI as suggested in some postings, but the original icons

have not reappeared. I appreciate any suggestions.

Re: images missing on desk top icons

Do the correct icons appear in the Start Menu?

If so, then delete the ones on the desktop and create new ones by a

right-click and Send To-Desktop (as shortcut)

No, the icons on the Start Menu appear the same as they do on the Desktop.

In that case...

Try a Repair on Office or try the Office group and mention your

version of Office.
