No log on button on thid web site

Windows XP

I want to go to either the Office or Windows XP Discussion Group pages and

sign in to post a question.

However I no longer have a sign in button on either site, which help says

should be in the top right corner although I do have the Edit my Profile

button.

I have a .NET Passport.

The only way I can sign in is to click New / Question which brings up the

sign in page.

However when I enter my details and hit the sign in button this brings up:-

“Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”.

If I then hit the browser back button I get the page back and I’m signed in

OK.

Where has the sign in button gone?
