My PC freezes on booting after showing the manufacturer's logo(i can't access bios when this happens)..if i wait for 2-3mins i get a black screen with this message:

Intel UNDI,PXe-2.1(build 0.82)

...

for realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X

PCI Fast ethernet controller v2.20 (060711)

PXE-E61:Media test failur,check cable

PXE-MPF:Exiting PXE ROM

DISK BOOT FAILURE,INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

I can boot the comp after restart(after seeing the msg.)...

Is this a hard disk error..??

when you go back into the BIOS set the first boot device to HDD and disable the rest.

I would say that you have an HDD issue, run a chkdsk

Hi, one more thing if you can please, you say the game runs for maybe ten minutes, then makes a loud noise! is this noise coming from your loudspeakers, or is it coming from inside the case?

This will help us decide if there is a hardware problem or not.

Nev.

I think the loud noise will be the system crashing, could just be for some thing simple like the sound card/ onboard sound drivers

Or it could be the hard drive read/write head crashing into the stop, or even the disk, it can be a loud mechanical noise.
