Jelly Bean Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Hello and welcome. Please restart the computer and enter Setup/BIOS and load defaults then set first boot device to hard drive, second to CD/DVD rom and turn boot from LAN off as in disable. Save and exit now will the computer boot? Try speedfan to test the temps of your GPU: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................

Dalo Harkin Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 when you go back into the BIOS set the first boot device to HDD and disable the rest. I would say that you have an HDD issue, run a chkdsk Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Plastic Nev Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Hi, one more thing if you can please, you say the game runs for maybe ten minutes, then makes a loud noise! is this noise coming from your loudspeakers, or is it coming from inside the case? This will help us decide if there is a hardware problem or not. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here. Dalo Harkin Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I think the loud noise will be the system crashing, could just be for some thing simple like the sound card/ onboard sound drivers Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Plastic Nev Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Or it could be the hard drive read/write head crashing into the stop, or even the disk, it can be a loud mechanical noise.
