variation of same .net theme

I've read multiple posts but since my issue is slightly different, I'm afraid

to assume their fixes will work... It took me an entire day to fix the

problem that created this mess!!!

Something got corrupted and so I one by one replaced all the .net framework

builds going through microsoft update. HOWEVER I missed 1.1 service pack 1

so I have:

1.1

2.0

2.0 SP1

3.0

I am continuing to get a message that I have an update to install (1.1 SP1);

however, every time the install fails. I've tried uninstalling from 3.0

backward but I get the following error message when trying to uninstall 3.0:

"Setup has detected that a newer verion of the application is already

installed on this computer. If this application is encountering problems,

use Add or Remove Programs to repair or uninstall the application."

I get this message when trying to uninstall from Add/Remove programs!

Any suggestions.... PLEASE!!!!
