Jamey Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 A quick Google of the code you used for the subject of your post reveals it is the error code generated by Windows Media Player when a sound card is not installed. Or, more likely is that your sound card driver has not been installed. A tool called Unknown Devices lets you identify the make and model of the missing driver. You should then be able to Google the manufacturer to gain access to their website and download the relevant driver. Then you need to open up the Device Manager and install the driver. To quickly get to the Device Manager, click Start and then Run. Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. The sound card should be the only device visible in the list. Right-click it and select Update Driver. Then point to where you extracted the driver files to, it should pick up and install your sound card driver. Quote
