Guest Sabo, Eric Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 If I do a "vssadmin list writers" nothing ever comes back to the command prompt. Is there a way to reset the volume shadow copy service, I did do a restart on the service.

SQL is not my forte and I wish I could point you to the newsgroup that would best answer this but I can't find one for SQL. Perhaps a new post: "Server 2003: How does one set SQL 2005 writer as the default on the system?" as a question and see who responds. - Thee Chicago Wolf

Do you have any ideas on how to troubleshot the writers at this point?
