Guest WORLDe Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 In server 03, i would like to create a read only folder which would include files such as word docs, pdfs, and other similar files. I would like this folder to be read-only and also be able to disable any user from printing any of the documents within this folder. how do i go about disabling users from printing within certain folders and subfolders?
Guest Ryan Hanisco Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 RE: Printing disable Hi WORLDe, The read only part is pretty easy through NTFS permissions, but I think you're stuck on making them unprintable. This would have to be a document setting within the appropriate document applications rather than something centralized. Sorry I don't have an easier answer. -- Ryan Hanisco MCSE, MCTS: SQL 2005, Project+ http://www.techsterity.com Chicago, IL Remember: Marking helpful answers helps everyone find the info they need quickly.
