Folks-

I'm sorry that I'm reposting this message again. I'm still looking for

contributors to help me on Windows Server 2008 Active Directory book. Please

consider that your name will be published as Contributor. All you have to do

is to write couple of chapters in next few weeks. If you don't have prior

writing experience, but have passion to explore this industry then please

contact me.

This project has already been approved by the publisher. The TOC has been

approved. I'll also provide you a sample chapter, authors kit and other

tools to start working on this project. The following topics are avaiolable:

PROJECT1:

Designing an Enterprise-Level Group Policy Strategy

Active Directory Forests and Domains

Designing Identity and Access Management

PROJECT 2: (These chapters may not be available as someone promised me that

he MAY look into these)

Active Directory Replication

Active Directory Trust Relationship

OU Management and Group Policies

Active Directory Disaster Recovery and Maintenance

Upgrading and Migrating from AD 2003 to AD 2008

If you are interested then please send me your contact information.

Thanks,

How many chapters will you write, and how much do you expect to make from

the labour of others?

Re: Reposting my request Windows Server 2008 Contributor for book

Al.

The chapters are divided equally between all the authors. In one project,

I'm acting like a proxy, whicih means I will introduce contributor to the

publisher, and he will make a contract directly with the contributor;

however, the chapters will go through with me, as I started the project, and

I need to make sure that if there is a new contributor, he/she follows the

authors kit from the publisher for format, syntax, side bard, titles,

topics, exercises and text.

I hope it answers your question.

Tariq

BTW, I do have authors for the chapters. The only person I'm looking for now

is someone who can help me to technically review the book. Again, for

technical reviewer, I'd introduce the reviewer to publisher, and publisher

will have a contract with them directly.

Re: Reposting my request Windows Server 2008 Contributor for book

You seem to have followed much the same path to garner contributors/authors

to other books on citrix, presentation server, and etc. A number of

questions seem to come to mind, including:

- why would anyone take you up on your offer? I mean, how many of the other

book projects have been completed? What are their titles, who are their

authors/contributors? And who is/are the publisher/s?

- if these are your "projects", how are you able to get publisher approval

when you seemingly have no drafts to show them?

- what does "publisher approval" mean, anyway? If you actually put a bunch

of chapters together, does this mean they will "consider" publishing the

book or is it guaranteed to be published? My best guess would be that they

have taken no steps to keep you from attempting this, and will consider your

manuscript when you submit it. much as they would consider any manuscript

submitted to them.

- if *you* are interested, please submit the following items as you have

requested in similar posts:

- resume

- prior writing experience

- links to any published articles
