I regularly seem to get a particular error message popping up when browsing sites. I have noticed it quite a bit whilst i am on Facebook but also on other sites. A box comes up. There is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it.

It says,

'An Error has occured in the script on this page

Unexpected call to method or property access

Do you want to contunue running scriupts on this page?

Yes No'

What is the reason behind this and is there anyway i can stop this from happening as it can get quite repetitive and annoying?

Hi

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser to see if you still get that error.

It could also be malware (small chance).

It kind of sounds like the "Display a notification about every script error" is ticked in the Advanced options of the Internet Properties in IE. That can get quite annoying.

At the top of the browser click "Help" then choose "About"

It should say the browser and version.

Seems that your Internet Explorer version is outdated, you should currently be using at least 8.0, however if I was you I'd use Mozilla Firefox, I've had no errors using this browser. If you really want to stay with your BT Yahoo! Browser you can check your browsers security settings to see if high security settings are on, as I have very high security seetings on Internet Explorer and becuase of this; everytime an embedded flash player is executed say within YouTube, the browser asks for conformation to play the content. To avoid errors like this you can uncheck various high security settings to a medium level.

It might be worth looking at Yahoo to see if they have a newer version of the branded Internet Explorer. Unfortunately I can't look because only those with Yahoo as an ISP can.

Install or Re-install BT Yahoo! Internet Software

You could also follow the suggestion from Seamus and install Firefox. In most peoples opinion Firefox is a much better browser.

Have a look at their site first and decide if you want to try. You will be pleasantly surprised I hope.
