Blackberry Desktop manager takes up unnecessary space on the taskbar.

Any way to hide it permanently?

TIA

That closes the program, no delete option is present. Am I missing

something?

Check the program's options. Buried somewhere will likely be an

option "Start at Boot" or "Show Taskbar Icon" that you can change.

Worse case, just disable the Startup from running, then open the

app when you actually need to use it.

Show Taskbar Icon not an option.

Is there no reg setting or something?

Re: Hide Taskbar Button?

You can use a SysInternals program, AutoRuns to uncheck or

deselect any of the Startups and Watchdog apps that load/run

when the PC is first booted.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

When the program loads look for your Blackberry watchdog

in the column marked "Publisher". Don't delete the entry simply

uncheck the box at the far left column for the entry.

Re: Hide Taskbar Button?

Thanks R., I know how to prevent it from running, I just wish I could get it

off the taskbar without killing it and have it still run.
