Guest JFB Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hi All, I try to install sp2 on windows 2003 enterprise. This box is a DC with DNS integrated. I got an error Access Denied. How to start to solve this problem? How can I install the sp2 in this server? I try to restart and reinstall and no luck. Please help. Rgds JFB

Before you start this installation, it is absolutely vital that you do this: 1. Perform a full backup. 2. Perform a full recovery to a spare disk. 3. Test the spare disk. If you skip these steps then you stand a serious risk of losing your whole installation, with no chance of repair or recovery.
Guest JFB Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Re: error installing sp2 Thanks for you reply and help. I have always backup this box in regular schedules. The problem was that I try to do the update from remote access and looks like I have to be next to the box to perform this update. Now everything is back to normal. In future posts you should remember to include ALL relevant information. Using Remote Access while installing an SP is absolutely vital information, yet you did not tell us until the issue was resolved.
