I seem to have an annoying problem that I can't fix and hopefully somebody has an idea about putting it right. I am using XP

btw. I use Firefox as my browser.

I have always used the run command line to go access particular sites using it that way it would retain the address as part of a drop down list. It would retain this list until I cleared it out with say CrapCleaner and then start again. After my most recent clear out however nothing I write is retained so the drop down is blank. Further more if I write something in the box I get an error message saying it couldn't be found with the thudding windows error music however it does go to the address I put it in.

I am not even sure how best to describe the category the problem fits in . Anyway I am hopeful that somebody can come up with a solution.
