Please help, Vista VGA-out with low res

Hi all

 

I have a laptop with Vista 32bit and a GeForce Go 7900 GS. I have connected a 22" monitor with native res 1440x1050 but I can only max out my res at 1440x900 via VGA out. Is it possible to force higher resolution? This graphic card is pretty good so I think it could support 1440x1050, is it Vista preventing me to use higher res?
